Here at Indie Love, we’re all about creative collaboration, uplifting indie romance authors, while supporting meaningful charitable causes.
What started as a way to shine a light on our events and feature attending authors, our anthologies are a core part of what we do.
Anthologies are collections of short stories. They offer a unique space for you to stretch your creative muscles by diving into a new sub-genre or tackling word count restraints. They’re also an excellent way to build connections and network with fellow authors and, of course, to get your work seen by a wider audience.
If you’d like to stay in the loop about future planned collections, make sure you’re signed up to our author newsletter.

2020: The Indie Love Empowerment Anthology
Indie Love is about empowering one another because we’re all a part of this incredible community and journey in indie pulishing. It's about understanding that we all have to start somewhere, and sharing that empathy and passion.
The retreat in 2018 brought me new friends, taught me valuable lessons and when I left Ceridwen, I felt empowered and firmer in the indie path I’d decided to take with my writing. I like to think that the others who attended also felt the same way.
For this anthology, I wanted to tap into that, and asked the authors to write about strong, powerful women.
Participating authors:
🖤 Jade West
🖤 Anna Edwards
🖤 Lizzie James
🖤 SK Clarke
🖤 Laura Morgan
🖤 TA Andrews
🖤 Alice La Roux
Blurb:
Empowerment /ɛmˈpaʊəm(ə)nt/ Noun the process of becoming stronger
Join us in celebrating empowerment in its many forms with this collection of tales from Indie Love. There’s something for everyone, from dark and paranormal to contemporary romance.
This anthology explores what it means to overcome the feeling of powerlessness, to grow, to push personal boundaries and to fight back. If you want fierce women who refuse to be held down in the quest for mastery over their lives, then Empowerment has just what you need.
The proceeds from this anthology were donated to Welsh Women’s Aid.

At Indie Love, we like our authors to feel like they have a say in which direction we take. We want them to be a part of our little family and so the theme of the anthology was put to a vote.
In the end, ‘Myths & Legends’ won, and rightfully so because you cannot visit Wales without becoming entrenched in its history and beauty, and what better way to reflect this than re-working some of our favourite tales?
In 2021 we all needed a little more romance and magic in our lives. This anthology was a reminder that as we moved through 2021, reading about fighting (or fucking) dragons, having adventures and rescuing damsels or even hapless princes, we were also resilient, incredible creatures who survived a pandemic.
Participating authors:
🖤 Laura Greenwood
🖤 Arizona Tape
🖤 RJ Truman
🖤 Paula Acton
🖤 Erin O’Kane
🖤 Louise Line
🖤 Carrie Austin-Malone
Blurb:
Tales of knights, dragons and curses are not just for children. Join us as we get up close and personal with mythical creatures, magical moments and dashing quests for love as Indie Love presents The Myths & Legends Collection.
From Egyptian Gods to Arthurian legends, Robin Hood to Hades, there is something for everyone. With 7 exclusive stories available for a limited time, are you ready for an epic romance?
The proceeds from this anthology were donated to Broken Biscuits.

2022: The Indie Love Hiraeth Anthology
Hiraeth, was the chosen theme for 2022. It's a much-debated Welsh word because there’s no clear translation. No real definition. It’s a feeling. It’s typically described as a sense of yearning for home, a person or a place that never was or exists in your past. It’s a deep, irrational spiritual longing.
The last few years had been incredibly tough due to the global pandemic, and for many, it was also a journey of discovery as we were forced to adapt and learn about ourselves.
We were adapting to life after lockdown precautions lifted and the theme of Hiraeth is an interesting one to explore off the back of this. These eight authors have each put their own spin on their tales of longing, second chances and home.
Participating authors:
🖤 Dani Rene
🖤 Nicola Jane
🖤 Anna Edwards
🖤 Paula Acton
🖤 Stacey Broadbent
🖤 Raven Amor
🖤 Eve L. Mitchell
🖤 S. Ramirez
🖤 Carrie Austin-Malone
Blurb:
It is a sickness, a tug on the heart in the direction of home.
It is nostalgia, a sense of yearning for a person who belongs in the past, a grief for something irretrievably lost.
It is longing, the what-ifs, should-nots and could have beens.
An ancient sadness rooted in your bones.
Discover how nine authors take the theme of Hiraeth and use it to weave tales of belonging, love and second chances in this incredible anthology, brought to you by Indie Love.
The proceeds from this anthology were donated to MIND.
