A few things to know before you join us.
24 October 2026 • Brangwyn Hall, Swansea • Doors open 10:30am-4:30pm
What should I bring, and do I need to print my ticket?
Have your Eventbrite ticket ready to show on your phone, or bring a printed copy if you prefer. Bring your preorder confirmations, any books you’d like signed, and a bag for your book haul. A power bank is handy too.
Can I buy books on the day or bring my own to be signed?
You don’t need to have preordered to enjoy the signing. Authors and vendors will have items available to buy, but stock will vary, so we recommend visiting your must-see tables early. If you’re bringing books you already own, please check with the individual author about signing them.
How do I collect my preorders?
Collect your preorders directly from the author or vendor you ordered from. Have your order confirmation ready and let them know the name you ordered under.
For orders placed through the Indie Love Payhip shop, head to the Indie Love merchandise tables. Please collect your orders before the event finishes at 4:30pm.
Should I bring cash or can I pay by card?
Payment options vary between authors and vendors, so we recommend bringing both cash and a card.Wi-Fi and mobile signal can be patchy at busy events, so having some cash as a backup will help keep your book shopping moving.
Will the signing close for lunch?
No — the signing hall will stay open. Authors will take staggered lunch breaks between 12:30pm and 1:30pm, so some may be away from their tables during this time.If someone you’d like to see is on a break, have a browse and pop back a little later.
Where can I get food, drinks or take a break?
The venue has a bar selling drinks, and there are water fountains throughout the building.
There isn’t a café or restaurant on site, but there are shops nearby, around a five-minute walk away.
There will be chairs and a few tables in the signing room at the far end, as well as in the bar. If you need somewhere to sit or a moment away from the bustle, ask a member of our event team for help.
The George Hall, marked as the author catering area on the floor plan, is reserved for authors, vendors and their assistants.
Is the event accessible, and can I bring a carer?
The venue has an accessible lift. If you need step-free access, a carer ticket, or have a question about assistance dogs or other access requirements, please contact us before the event so we can help you plan your visit.
On the day, our event team will be easy to spot in their Indie Love T-shirts. Please ask if you need support.
Can I bring children?
This event is for ages 16 and over. Romance books, merchandise and conversations may include adult themes, so please bear this in mind when planning your visit.
How do the raffles work?
We have a preorder raffle and a charity raffle supporting Mermaids.
The preorder raffle rewards readers who placed qualifying preorders with participating authors and vendors. You will b e given your raffle tickets at registration.
You can also support Mermaids by taking part in the charity raffle on the day. The raffle draw takes place at 2:30pm.
Will there be trading?
Some readers have said that they will be trading, so please feel free to do the same.
Will photos and videos be taken?
